SOUTH WEST FA CHAIRMEN CONDOLE WITH TIJANI BABANGIDA OVER DEATHS OF SON, BROTHER

South-West Chairmen of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), under the leadership of Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi on Wednesday sympathised with former Nigeria international and President of the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria, Tijani Babangida, who lost his son and brother in a ghastly motor accident along the Kaduna – Zaria Road.
Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi, a member of the Nigeria Football Federation and Chairman of Ogun State Football Association conveyed his condolence through a statement signed by the South-West Chairmen's secretary, Mr Kehinde Adebayo Ojelowo titled ‘South-West FA Chairmen condoles with Tijani Babangida over bother, son's passing.'
Tijani, a notable member of the 1993 FIFA U17 World Cup winning Golden Eaglets lost his younger brother, Ibrahim while his son, Fadil
passed away on Friday night following surgery. During the unfortunate incident, Tijani’s wife, Maryam, underwent facial surgery and is currently in intensive care.
The South-West Chairmen, made of Oyo state FA chairman, HRM Oba James Odeniran, Osun state - Mr Sola Fanawopo, Ondo state - Otunba Sunday Dele-Ajayi, Lagos state- Mr Gafar Liameed and Ekiti state -Chief Olu Oloworemo commiserated with the former World Cup star on the deaths of his brother and son, while praying for quick recovery for himself and his dear wife, who is still under intensive care at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Zaria.
Alhaji Majekodunmi prayed that Almighty Allah would receive Ibrahim and Fadil’s soul and grant them eternal rest.
