COACHING EDUCATION: ILAJI FC/SWIEQI UTD REITERATES COMMITMENT TO CAPACITY BUILDING

Ilaji football club, in conjunction with Swieqi United football club, have reaffirmed its commitment to the development of grassroots coaches towards training and retraining through it annual coaching education.
The Chief Operating Officer of Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort, Prince Adesina Araoye, gave the assurance during the third edition of Ilaji FC/Swieqi United FC Coaching Education and Scouting, held at the mini conference hall.
The coaching education, which was anchored by UEFA A Licence holder and Sweiqi United FC Head Coach Pablo Cesar Doffo, had 76 grassroot and league club coaches in attendance for both theoretical and practical session.
While welcoming Swieqi United FC delegates to Nigeria and participants to Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Prince Adesina Araoye assured the coaches that the management of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort under the chairmanship of Chief Engineer Dotun Sanusi remains committed to his pledge to develop football coaches to have standard knowledge of coaching, pointing out the necessity for grassroots coaches to acquire coaching certificates for them to understand the rudiments of the round leather game.
"I want to welcome our partners from Malta to Nigeria for this year's edition. we were in Ghana for about six days for another coaching education and scouting program. It shows we are improving and ready to impact knowledge to everyone, even outside Nigeria. This program could not have been achieved without the help of our visionary leader, Chief Engineer Dotun Sanusi. He believes in giving because to him, giving-is-living and living-is-giving."
"Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort is a complete home of hospitality and sports. We have players in Finland, Czech Republic, Malta, and our plans are to discover, nurture, and secure foreign clubs for our players through our partners. This year edition is free, I urge you [coaches] to utilise this great opportunity to add and update your knowledge in football coaching."
After the coaching education and presentation of certificates to the participants, Prince Araoye expressed delight with the successful conclusion of the program and urged the participants to imbibe lessons from the program. He also reiterated that Chief Dotun Sanusi is committed to the development of talents and grassroot coaches on mordern coaching practices.
