Former Nigeria international, Chief Mutiu Adepoju popularly known as 'Head Master' has called on clubs' administrators to look inward to the benefits they can derive if proper structures are put in place in Nigeria clubs.
The Nigeria La Liga ambassador and Asoju Amuludun Oodua while expressing his views on the benefits of school's sports to Nigeria clubs of they are professionally structured said young talents will have huge hope immediately after leaving secondary school.
He narrated how he was discovered at Prospect High School and lamented how the country had no interest for under age competitions such as Academicals and YSFON tournaments.
"You just asked what is next for the children that will be discovered by the organisers at the Governor’s Cup. I'm happy the organisers have good plans for them through scholarship programme. In addition, if our clubs are well structured, we won't have problems even to the national level. I played Governor’s Cup as a student of Propect High School and I can boldly say we had many under age national competitions back then. If things are done rightly, we won't have problems."
He also commended Peculiar Ultimate Concerns, Kidzfoot Nigeria and Schools Sports Foundation, Oyo State Government through Ministry for Education and Ministry for Youth and Sports for thier efforts in reviving school's sports.
