OYOMESI FC'S ADEREMI MUTIU SWITCHES FOCUS TO NLO PLAY-OFF

Oyomesi football club head coach Lamidi Mutiu Aderemi has urged his players to achieve the club's ambition this season and give "more standing" to their record run when they face Emalex FC at the Nation-wide League One play-off.

Oyomesi FC, a private club, onwed by Barrister Wakil Oyeleru Oyedemi made her debut at the Ibadan centre, topping the league table with 14 points after four wins, two draws and a loss from seven matches.

Oyomesi FC will battle Emalex FC in the Nation-wide League One play-off at Kwara State Stadium Complex tomorrow, with the winner having one leg to earn a promotion with a final playoff at Ikenne centre. The match is set to kick off at 10 am.

Emalex FC from Owo town in Ondo state were no new to the Nation-wide League One after finishing first on the log with 11 points from five matches. They recorded three wins, one draw and a loss above their closest rival, Olukismet FC.

Mutiu Aderemi now tasks his players to remain focused, determined, maintain the momentum and capitalise on the stellar run.

"We just have to keep the momentum going, after the round-robin format in Ibadan, the next stage is very important to us. Quitters never win and winners never quit, we must continue to put in our best. The play-off is a one leg match and its requires total commitment from every member of the squad."

"We never loosed focus after the first phase in Ibadan, the players are very much in good form. We played few friendlies, even outside Oyo state to give us clear pictures of areas to work on and we are satisfy with the level of preparations." Aderemi told OyoSportsNews.

According to the Nation-wide League One body, the match earlier scheduled for Osogbo stadium, will now hold at Kwara state stadium complex will be live-streamed and broadcast live on NTA Sports 24.
