The Chairman of Tournament Committee, Mr Abimbola Adeyemi has assured participants and spectators of adequate security and medical services at the venue of of the 2024 NPA/Shoreline Ibadan International Polo Tournament holding from Monday, 20th of May to 26th 2024.
The 88th edition, proudly sponsored by Shoreline Energy International, is scheduled to kick off tomorrow at Ibadan Polo Ground, Eleyele road, Ibadan, with the opening match between Lead City Team and Lagos Ikoyi
In a chat with OyoSportsNews, Abimbola Adeyemi assured the fans that top security operatives have been detailed to ensure orderliness and safety right from the opening date to the grand finale of the annual 'sportainment' tournament.
"Before now, we've been putting all logistics in place to have a hitchfree tournament. This year edition will not be left out as security agents from the Nigeria Police Force and Army will be on ground to ensure we have smooth run of our activities."
"Not only that, the medical personnel will be available with the medically equipped vehicle [ambulance] at strategic point. We want this year edition to be better off the previous tournaments and we are leaving no stone unturned to achieve this.
Entertainment Secretary Mr Olufela Yomi-Layinka added that the tournament will feature entertainment sessions such as Live Musical Performance, Karaoke, DJ/Hype Man, children/kids corner on daily basis.
