Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Oye Olohun Travels & Tours Football Club, Alhaji Saliu Tajudeen Kolawole says that his team are aiming to end the campaign on a winning note.
The league debutant have one game remaining and they could yet climb the Nigeria Nationwide League One table.
On Saturday at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan centre, Oye Olohun T&T FC pipped Positive FA by alone goal to record two wins, two draws and two defeats with a game to round off the season.
Tomorrow's fixture against Cornerstone FC presents Oye Olohun FC with the opportunity to draw level on points and possibly be ahead their opponents. When speaking ahead tomorrow's match to OyoSportsNews, Alhaji Saliu Tajudeen Kolawole said that his team want to go for maximum points in their last game and end on a high.
“We are safe already. We don't only want to get the points, we want to finish strong and show ourselves that we came for the first time and had a good season. We want three points on Monday, we have thesame points with two other teams ahead of us and if we can win tomorrow, we can jump up another spot in the table and finish a little higher, that would be better than where we are now."
"Historically, it is on record that the team participated at the Nationwide League 2024 season and had a good outings with strong opponents like Ilaji, 3SC Team B and others. We only want to have a strong finish this season and plan for next."
"It is good to assess the team’s overall performance and final position on the log but as at the current standings, I think we've had a good season being a newcomer. I think a couple of their players have been fantastic for them actually; and have had a massive impact on their squad."
Oye Olohun Travels & Tours Football Club ’s Nationwide League One fixture against Cornerstone FC kicks-off at 11am on Monday.
