The athletes amassed 36 medals — eleven gold, sixteen silver, and nine bronze — to rank fifth behind Bayelsa state, Abia state, Kano state and Lagos state at the end of the competition on Thursday. Bayelsa state were clearly above the standings with a total of 74 medals, followed by Abia state (35 medals), Kano state (44 medals) and Lagos state (51 medals). World football-governing body, FIFA has approved a total of 30 Nigerian referees to be placed on the international lists for the year 2024, among them 11 referees, 11 assistant referees, four beach soccer referees and four futsal referees.
