Head Coach of the Nigeria Premier Football League side Sunshine Stars, Edith Olumide Agoye has applauded the Interim Management Committee [IMC] for its efforts to reposition the Nigeria League, following a successful first stanza of the new season.According to Edith Olumide Agoye, despite the huge challenges facing the defunct League Management Company, the new Interim Management Committee under the leadership of Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye has been making efforts to rebrand and reposition the NPFL after their inauguration and throughout the first round matches.
"It is very clear for everybody to see that there are big improvements under the Interim Management Committee starting from the organisation, officiating, and the indemnities to the referees. Having done a very good job, the results are there for everyone to see. The league is much better than it used to be in the past. Having said all that, there is room for improvement, and I believe that with time, it can only get better.
"Looking at it very well, we say they've done a lot, but to start well is not the most important but to end well and sustain it is the most important. I don't want to sing their praises too much, I give kudos for what they've done so far and urge them to do better. At the end of the day, we can now say they've done well or tried their best".
