Crown FC Head Coach Anthony Encho claims it would be unfair for him to write off and considers Saturday's Nigeria National League matchday three against Joy Cometh FC as a walkover.Joy Cometh FC have failed to register a win and pick a point in their first two matches after losing to Ijebu United and Smart City on matchday one and two, respectively. The Lagos-based side currently sits at the bottom of group B2 with no point.
However, Crown FC of Ogbomoso after 1-0 loss at home to Gateway United on matchday one has positively responded with a win over Sporting Lagos last weekend in Lagos and will hope to build on the result tomorrow when they welcome struggling Joy Cometh FC at the Soun stadium, Ogbomoso.
Speaking to OyoSportsNews after Friday morning training session, Head Coach Anthony Encho claimed it would be unfair for any professional football coach to underrate Joy Cometh FC judging by their recent outings. The Cameroonian soccer tactician opined that his next opponent may be unlucky with the back-to-back defeats.
"Joy Cometh are a good side and may be unlucky in their matches. They are wounded lions because they currently have no point on the table. The match will be important for them and also for us, we must take it seriously because we lost our first home match to Gateway United. Our fans and supporters will be expecting us to win at our traditional home ground after many years without action."
"I also ask our supporters to help the team as much as they could, I understand their feelings, passion, and love for the club, but, some results are shocking. As a coach, I pick up the pieces and move ahead."
Meanwhile, Ijebu United are topping the group B2 standings with six points. Sporting Lagos, Crown FC, Smart City FC and Gateway United FC all hav3 three points ahead tomorrow's fixtures.
