The Nigeria National League Club Club Owners and Managers Association [NALCOMA] has felicitated with the National League Clubs that qualified for the Super 8 playoff scheduled for Enugu State. In a letter signed and made available to newsmen by the association secretary, Mr Kunle Oyeleye, the president of the Association Chidi Okonkwo commended the resilience and victories of the club just as he charged all of the teams to show their mettle at the playoff to be hosted by the Government of Enugu State. Okonkwo equally praised the aura of invincibility displayed by the Abia Comets FC having gone 12 games undefeated in the league, he noted that the historic and impressive run of the club was not common feat, he regretted the none participation of the team in the eventual playoff, that the colour and glamour of the National League is always outstanding. By Oluseyi Adedire Twitter/Instagram: @oyosportsnews FB: Oyo Sports Update Coaches who participated in the third edition of Ilaji FC/Swieqi United FC Coaching Education are still counting their blessings for being part of the programme even as they have heaped praises on the Chairman of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Chief Engineer Dotun Sanusi for putting up such programme which has broadened the knowledge of grassroot coaches and clubs. Amongst the 76 football coaches that took part in the coaching education were members of the Grassroot Football Talents Developers Association of Nigeria, [GRAFTADEAN], university coaches, national and nationwide league coaches, coaches outside Oyo state and NIS students. The Chief Operating Officer of Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort, Prince Adesina Araoye, gave the assurance during the third edition of Ilaji FC/Swieqi United FC Coaching Education and Scouting, held at the mini conference hall. The coaching education, which was anchored by UEFA A Licence holder and Sweiqi United FC Head Coach Pablo Cesar Doffo, had 76 grassroot and league club coaches in attendance for both theoretical and practical session. OYO GOVERNOR'S CUP; ANGLICAN GRAMMAR SCHOOL, OGBOMOSO, OBALUFON GRAMMAR SCHOOL SECURE WIN IN ZONAL ELIMINATION

The Zonal Elimination of the 2024 Oyo Governor's Cup kicked off on Tuesday in some centres.  Anglican Grammar School Ogbomosho defeated Ahoro-dada Community Secondary School, by five goals to one to scale through to the next round of the Zonal Elimination.  In Oke Ogun, Obalufon Grammar School won comfortably against Ansar-Udeen Grammar School, Ago Are. The game ended 4-1. Awe High School beat Anglican Methodist Secondary School 3-2 via penalties, after the game ended goalless in regulation time.  Also in Oyo, Ladigbolu Grammar School were 1-0 better of Isale Oyo Community Secondary School.  More matches will be played on Wednesday across Oyo. The annual event which is expected to have over fifty [50] football coaches and thirty-two [32] clubs for the coaching clinic and scouting session respectively will commence tomorrow, Wednesday, May 29th to June 1st, 2024 at the Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, mini conference hall.
