SOUTHWEST ZONAL ELIMINATION FOR BALL GAMES HOLDS IN IBADAN

Over Six Hundred Athletes (600) and Sixty (60) Officials from the Six States in the Southwest Zone of the Federation will participate in the Ball Games Zonal Elimination Competition scheduled to hold as from 23rd to 28th February, 2025 at the Ilaji Sports Resorts, Akanran in Ona Ara Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The Oyo State Commissioner for Youth & Sports, Hon. Wasilat Adegoke made this disclosure today in Ibadan.
The Commissioner stated further that the Ball Games that will feature in the preliminaries will include Football, Basketball, Hockey, Cricket, Handball, Volleyball, Abula and Beach Volleyball, adding that the Zonal Elimination that is being organised and coordinated by the National Sports Commission (NSC) simultaneously in all the Six Geo-Political Zones of the country in accordance to the time-line earlier issued.
The Commissioner disclosed further that the participating States include Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti and Lagos State, stressing that the first and second placed teams at the Zonal Eliminations shall qualify from each Zone to partake in the 22nd National Sports Festival that is billed to hold in Abeokuta, Ogun State as from 16th to 30th May, 2025.
She however enjoined the Team Oyo intensify their efforts to excel and return with outstanding performances that will qualify them for the  National Sports Festival in May this year.

AA AZTEC FOOTBALL ACADEMY STORMS PORTUGAL FOR A MONTH SCOUTING PROGRAMME

The delegation made up of 10 players and three officials left the shores of Nigeria via a flight from the international wing of the Muritala Mohammad Airport on Tuesday for Lisbon.
