COOL GLOBAL INTERLINKS CHAIRMAN CONGRATULATES 3SC, COMMENDS CROWN FC

The Chief Executive Officer of Cool Global Interlinks Travels, Alhaji Hamzat Ismail Kolade Oba has congratulated Ibadan-based Shooting Stars Sports Club for their victory over Crown FC of Ogbomoso in the final of the 2025 Oyo State President Federation Cup decided Sunday at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan.
Coach Gbenga Ogunbote lads edged Crown FC under the tutelage of Ayodeji Ayeni 4-2 via penalties to reclaim the title they won in 2023 against Ilaji FC.
Incidentally, both teams have qualified for President Cupb billed to kick-off March 5 across the federation. Ilaji FC and Shooting Stars represented Oyo State at the last edition while Crown FC will make a return after five years.
Alhaji Hamzat Ismail Kolade Oba who also donated a giant trophy and medals to the Oyo State Football Association said that the keenly contested cup final has shown the performances of both teams at the Nigeria Professional Football League and Nigeria National League.
Recall that Shooting Stars are currently on second position behind table leader Remo Stars with🕺 10points while Crown FC were behind two points behind Warri Wolves on NNL Conference A standings.
"This is how a final match should be played. I enjoyed actions from both sides. It was a back to back actions right from the kickoff. It clearly shows that the performance of both teams were not fluke on the league table. Penalty shoot-out is a 50-50 chance for any team, even in Europe, no team is sure of advancing or winning a title through penalties."



"I want to congratulate Shooting Stars for winning the title. As for me, the victory is all sons and daughters of Oyo state because both teams were financed by Oyo state and also a local derby."
"My dream is to see Shooting Stars at the continent next season and for Crown FC to make a return to the NPFL. Considering their current position, it is possible." He assured.
