Moses Ngbede produced a moment of outrageous brilliance to keep Crown FC's Super 8 play-off hopes burning brightly as The Ajilete Warriors beat Edel FC of Anambra 1-0 at Soun stadium, Ogbomoso.
A goalless first half seemed Crown FC would suffer another major setback in their attempts to secure play-off ticket for a fight for promotion to the elite league after several attempts were off target and denied by Edel FC goalkeeper.
However, just as Edel FC seemed set to claim a draw their wholehearted efforts totally deserved, Moses Ngbede spotted his chance when he struck late to secure a 1-0 victory in the matchday nine of the Nigeria National League Conference A fixture.
The black skinned striker scored with a tap-in from Azeez Yusuff's cross from a corner kick with a minute left for the referee to round off the match.
The Ajilete Warriors, going into the match with fourteen [14] points following a decent outing in Lagos where they got four points from possible six points against Inter Lagos FC and Smart City FC last week have now recorded another clean sheet with seventeen [17] points on log and will be Lagos next weekend to face 1472 FC.
AYODEJI AYENI POST MATCH REACTIONS
"I'm very proud of these players today. They all did extremely well. We had to switch formation to 4-1-5 to have numerical advantage upfront. That was the reason we introduced more offensive players in the final third."

"Edel FC came for a purpose, but we were able to get a goal. We still need to work in some areas at the training session and put things right. I think fatigue is already telling on the boys. We have tomorrow [Sunday] to rest and resume monday for Wednesday's Federation Cup match and Saturday's league match in Lagos."
