EXPECTATIONS HIGH AS ILAJI BOSS SET TO COMMISSION MODERN BOXING ARENA

All is set for the commissioning of the much awaited Ilaji Boxing Arena by the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort Chief Engineer Dotun Sanusi on Friday, July 14, 2023.
OyoSportsNews in a brief chat with the Chief Operating Officer of Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort, Prince Adesina Araoye on Thursday evening, hinted that the newly built modern boxing arena will be commissioned by the Chairman of the Nigeria Boxing Board of Control, Oyo State Chapter [NBBOFC], Hon Gbenga Opaleye who is also a former caretaker chairman of Ibadan South West Local government.
OyoSportsNews on Wednesday toured the arena to see the facilities and equipments put to the various rooms and ahead of the commissioning and it has been rated as world class equipments.
The welcome address which will be delivered by Prince Adesina Araoye will also have in attendance Mr Olushola Ayodele popularly known as 'Shola Ford' who will give the keynote address while Coach Abideen Adebowale [ETIM], the Chairman, Ibadan and Environs Amateur Boxing Association will also grace the event and staff of Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort.
OyoSportsNews reliably gathered that boxing equipments such as various types of gloves, headgear, kidneybelt, groin protector, heavy bag, speedbag, heavy bag stand, boxing jumping rose, and the boxing ring have all been installed, provided and stationed to necessary points. Time is at 1pm.
