NNL: Oyekale Defends Crown FC Squad Rotation

Oladunni Oyekale has defended and admitted that he has no choice than to rotate his squad and manage his players’ workload as Crown FC enter an extremely difficult run of matches at the ongoing Nigeria National League campaign.

Recall that the Ogbomoso Warriors head coach had appealed to the management of the Nigeria National League over congested fixtures which he believes will hinder player's commitment and performances.

Speaking on Wednesday after his side defeated Bayelsa United 1-0 courtesy of Fabode Olaitan 32minute goal. Oyekale maintained that a player can't play all games especially with the way the NNL sheduled matches. He explained further that some players will need rest while others will be on duty.

"A player can't play all matches and this was because of the schedule of the fixtures, but I believe with time the players will gel. I have good squad but there is needed to change players and manage them wisely."

Reacting to his team tactical and technical switch, Oyekale submits that it was a plan game to weaken his opponent and get the maximum points needed.

"You saw how the game went, tactically we really want to put them under pressure and I think it worked. The game was basically tactical." he concluded.
