NNL: Osun United Suspend Bright Omokaro, Others

 Nigeria ex-international player and 1988 summer Olympics athlete Bright Omokaro has been suspended from his duties as the Head Coach of Osun united football club.

The suspension followed series of unimpressive home and away outings of the club in the Nigeria National League 2020/2021 campaigns as the League entered week eleven.

The Management Board of Osun united announced the suspension of Coach Omokaro during its emergency meeting held today (Tuesday).


His assistants Bayo Adesina and Wole Animasahun were also suspended.

OyoSportsNews understands through a text message that the coaches were suspended after poor outings.

Hammer also falls on a player, Olusola Akilapa over indiscipline.

The message read:

"Coach Bright Omokaro, Bayo Adesina and Wole Animasahun, including a player, Olusola Akilapa have been suspended. The coaches were suspended due to poor run of form, losing 4 matches in a row, the player was suspended due to gross indiscipline."

Omokaro was appointment on October 2019 after the exit of Samson Unuanel.
