I Never Supported NWFL Decision On Super Six - Bayelsa Queens Acting Chairman

Acting chairman of Bayelsa Queens Football Club, Robin Apreala has debunked rumours making the rounds that he supported the ‘SUPER SIX PLAYOFF’, he said the rumour is a figment of the imagination of fake news peddlers

Apreala, said what happened was, during the ‘Virtual Meeting’ when the Chairperson of the NWFL board, Aisha Falode, put it before the house that: (1) the league should be played mid-week and weekends or (2) an abridged league format should be played.

According to him, the network went bad when he was discussing with the General Manager of Rivers Angels FC, and when they finally got connected back it was voting for or against the Super Six that was going on, at that point Rivers Angels General Manager said they have not concluded on the mid- week and weekend playing and the chairperson of the female league shouted at her that they have gone past that.

For Bayelsa Queens FC Acting Chairman, he said when he wanted to talk he was muted and he couldn’t say anything.

In his words ‘I never supported the Super Six and will definitely not support it’. Apreala went further to say ‘ and that he wonder why the super six, I remember in 2018 when the Nigeria Professional Football League was stopped abruptly Lobi Stars of Makurdi was decleared winner of the league the same thing happened in the 2019/2020 season and Plateau United was winners and only recently it was Point per Game that was used to make Enyimba of Aba champions of the league and asked why the female version should be an exception?

Before the league stared we all agreed to a straight league and I am not in support of the super six and that is my stand; concluded Robin Apreala.
