Nigeria National League Group B2 leaders Crown FC of Ogbomoso cannot afford to become complacent during the promotion campaign and must target victories to stay clear at the top, head coach Raheem Tajudeen said ahead of his side's trip to International Lagos FC scheduled at Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Saturday.
Crown FC's 2-1 win over FC One Rocket last Saturday helped them occupied first position on the standings with three points, same points with Ijebu United, Giant Brillars and Solution FC but a win in Lagos this weekend will put the Ajilete Warriors on six points as the promotion race get tougher.
"It's important now in every game to try and take three points, both home and away. We know this game will be very tough, but we are in good form, and the players have the right confidence," Tajudeen told OyoSportsNews.
Raheem Tajudeen admits Crown FC have a difficult match this weekend as they battle
International Lagos FC, a side that lost 2-1 to Ijebu United last Saturday in the league opener. He believed International Lagos FC would be keen to secure their first official win at home but optimistic that his players would give their best, put up a good fight, and win.
"International Lagos FC lost their first match in Ijebu Ode, and they will want to come hard on us. It is expected in football. The spirit in the camp is high, Lagos has been a good ground for us, we are on the right mood for Saturday match."
"It is good we've started very well, we want to have a good season and to write history at the end," Raheem Tajudeen said.
