Crown FC of Ogbomoso general manager Mr Olamide Ilupeju, has dedicated his team’s 2-1 win over FC One Rocket in an Nigeria National League matchday one on Saturday to the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, teeming fans and supporters of the club and his parents.The Ajilete Warriors started the new season on a winning note after former Gateway United and Shooting Stars forward Oluwaseyi Okeowo scored the opener in the 26th minute for the host before a superb strike from Akanni Rahmon which ensured the warriors picked the maximum points.
After giving all the credits to the players and technical crew for weldone job, Mr Olamide Ilupeju was also quick to dedicate his official win to state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde and other major stakeholders in the state.
"Firstly, I'm super excited with the victory over FC One Rocket, it was my offical match incharge of the club as the general manager and it very important for the entire team to win because of the vision and target we had for the season. The players with the technical crew gave out their best for the sweet victory, most especially in the second half."
"I want to specially dedicate this win to the Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, the commissioner for Youth and Sports Miss Wasilat Adegoke, my parents and most especially, the fans and supporters of Crown FC. We are ready to do everything possible to return to the premier league, that is where we belong, and we shall achieve this by the special grace of Almighty Allah."
He further speaks on the lapses noticed during the match and advised the technical team.
"We are solid at the middle and defense butbwe need to urgently work on the final third. We wasted chances. We should have converted at least three to four goals. I believed the technical crew led by Coach Raheem Tajudeen has noticed this, he will do the needful and make the fans happy."
