SAKI UTD LOST TO VIA ACADEMY IN GSM PRE-SEASON OPENER

Oyo State Aiteo Cup champions Saki United lost 1-2 on Tuesday afternoon to VIA Academy at the third edition of GSM pre-season tournament organized by Oyo State Football Association (OYSFA at the Olubadan stadium, Iyanganku, Ibadan.
The game saw Coach Iwalewa Qoseem of Saki United with his relaible starting eleven against VIA Academy that recently produced Nigeria international and U23 player Oluwatimilehin Abiodun Ogunniyi 'Omo Jesu'.
Atilola Tunde of Saki United wasted no time in the opening 11th minute to put the Asabari Warriors ahead but his goal jubilation only lasted for 60seconds as Ayoola Ibrahim got the leveller at the 12th minute. Recall that Ayoola Ibrahim was the hero of the day three weeks ago when Via Academy thrashed the Nigeria U23 Olympic team in a friendly match before thier first leg against Tanzania in Dar es Salaam.
VIA Academy took the lead at the 26th minute courtesy of Mukaila Mutiu and maintained the lead as they grabbed thier first three points.
In another group stage match, Oyo State Housing Corporation FC played a goalless draw with Oyo 'A' from Oyo town.
Tomorrow, Cornerstone FC host OMA FA at the 2pm while Shooting Stars will welcome DON FA at 4:00PM. The venue for both games is scheduled for Ikolaba football pitch inside Ikolaba High School.
