OYO FA MOURNS DEATH OF OYO 'A' PLAYER ALAO, POSTPONES MD III FIXTURES

The Oyo State Football Association (OYSFA) has expressed shock and sadness over the death on Wednesday of one Oyo 'A' Football Club player, Taoheed Alao Alanu.
Reports on Wednesday morning said the former Rehoboth FC effervescent and skillful attacking midfielder gave up the ghost in Oyo and has been laid to rest.
He was a former Atiba United between 2010 and 2013 and Rehoboth FC and Oyo 'A' player before his death.
Oyo State Football Association secretary, Mr Kehinde Ojelowo was momentarily speechless after being informed of the passing of the player.
A condolence message made available to OyoSportsNews by the association secretary, Mr Kehinde Ojelowo expressed shock over the passing of Alao.
"This is huge shock. We (Oyo FA) mourn the sudden death of Oyo 'A' player, Taoheed Alao Alanu who is expected to feature at the ongoing GSM pre-season tournament with Oyo 'A'. His death at such a young age is a big blow. We pray that God grants the late Alao eternal rest and also grant those he has left behind the fortitude to bear the loss."
Meanwhile, Oyo State Football Association has postponed matchday III fixtures between Oyo 'A' and New Starlet and that of Ilaji FC versus Saki United while actions will resume tomorrow, Friday at the Ikolaba football pitch between DON FA and ALO FA at 2:00 pm. OMA FA will also host Demmyspoet FC at 4:00 pm.
