Shooting Stars Technical Adviser Gbenga Ogunbote has told OyoSportsNews that his team is almost ready to the Nigeria Professional Football League 2022/23 season.
Although the newly inaugurated Interim Management Committee (IMC) is yet to announce the kick-off date for the new season but Ogunbote is cocksure his players are 70 percent for the season.
With large numbers of new signings expected at the club next season, Fans and supporters can't wait to thier darling team again for NPFL fixtures.
On Sunday at the Lekan Salami stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, the Oluyole Warriors continued thier preparations with another grade A pre-season friendly against Niger Tornadoes. Alabi Apatapiti got the opener before Anthony Okachi's brace gave the homers another positive result.
Speaking to OyoSportsNews, Technical Adviser of Shooting Stars Gbenga Ogunbote said:
"Like I said, we are about 70 percent ready for the league and no team will tell you 100 percent ready. We are between 60 and 70 percent ready. It's not going to be too good to be at your peak when the league has no official kick-off date."
"The biggest headache we are having is the fact that we don't know the exact date the league will commence. So far, I think the team is doing pretty well."
Meanwhile, the management of Shooting Stars under the chairmanship of Hon Babatunde Olaniyan has promised another grade A pre-season friendlies.
