CHIBUIKE NWAIWU SENT OFF AS WOLFSBERGER AC CRUISE PAST BW LINZ

Nigeria international Chibuike Nwaiwu endured a night to forget as he was sent off in Wolfsberger AC’s commanding 3-0 victory over BW Linz in the Austrian Bundesliga.
Nwaiwu was first cautioned in the 37th minute before receiving his marching orders just six minutes later, leaving his side to finish the game with 10 men.
Despite the setback, Wolfsberger had already stamped their authority on the contest. Dejan Zukic opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 11th minute, while Markus Pink doubled the lead three minutes later to give the hosts a 2-0 cushion at halftime.
Pink completed his brace early in the second half, sealing a comfortable 3-0 win for Wolfsberger AC.

The Oluyole Warriors, after their qualification to round 32 early this morning without kicking the ball, following the refusal of Zamfara United FC to show up for the round of 64 fixture at the Area 3 field, Abuja have been expelled from the oldest football competition in Nigeria. In a letter signed by the director for competition, Ruth David, on behalf of the Nigeria Football Federation General Secretary. Five players who were not registered with the Nigeria Football Federation for this year edition were fielded in today's match against Zamfara United.
