ABASSLAH'S "IDAN GAMES" RETURNS: CELEBRATING YORUBA SPORTS OAPs, GAMES, AND YOUTH EMPOWERMENT IN OYO STATE

The annual “Idan Games” event, proudly organized by Solutions FM sportscaster Abass Ishola—popularly known as Abassllah—under the umbrella of Grand Pitch Global and Abassllah Media Concept, is set to thrill once again.
This unique celebration will spotlight prominent Yoruba Sports On-Air Personalities (OAPs) and feature an exciting lineup of traditional and table games including table tennis, Ayo Olopon, ludo, draft, ring toss, and ball games, among others.
Beyond entertainment, this year’s edition will also honour individuals and groups who have made significant contributions to youth and sports development in Oyo State, with special recognition awards from Grand Pitch Global.
Hon. Jubril Arowolo is the official host of the event, while the Aare Musulumi of J.M.C. Pagun, Oke Omi Olodo Ibadan, Alhaji Taofeeq Babatunde Yekeen, will serve as the Chairman of the Day.
According to Abassllah, this year’s media and official partner is Solutions FM, alongside valued sponsors such as Bumbum Energy Drinks, S.K. Mashahun Ventures, Lugano Apartment, Oluwanisola Shoes (Komo Onibata), Elder Komolafe Seun, ADECONS Intl Cargo, and Walbog Motors.
The “Idan Games” is more than just a gathering—it is a movement of culture, camaraderie, and community-building through sports.

The Oluyole Warriors, after their qualification to round 32 early this morning without kicking the ball, following the refusal of Zamfara United FC to show up for the round of 64 fixture at the Area 3 field, Abuja have been expelled from the oldest football competition in Nigeria. In a letter signed by the director for competition, Ruth David, on behalf of the Nigeria Football Federation General Secretary. Five players who were not registered with the Nigeria Football Federation for this year edition were fielded in today's match against Zamfara United.
