TOP GOVT. OFFICIALS, ACE BROADCASTERS, MUSIC STARS ON SHOW FOR OYOKUN DAY

On Sunday afternoon, 27th July 2025, political gladiators at the state and local levels will be joined by ex football stars in oyo state to play at the Season 8 of Oyokun Diplomatic Day organized by Ace Sportscaster, Obadare Oladosu popularly known as ObaSports.
The one day event scheduled to take place at the football pitch of the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture [IITA] and Orbis Oxygen along moniya road in Ibadan will feature two novelty matches between Oyo state ALGON and Fresh FM Nigeria followed by Akinyele living legend and Gbagi Orisun Aje Market.
According to Obadare Oladosu, Egbeda local government chairman Honourable Sikiru Sanda will captain the ALGON team to face Fresh FM Nigeria players at the IITA football pitch.
Hon. Sanda will play alongside Honourable Ibrahim Akintayo from Ibadan North East, Honourable Oluwole Alawode from Ibadan South East, Honourable Akeem Olatunji from the Oluyole local government while Honourable Wole Akinleye local government will host other chairmen.
Others are Honourable Olufade from Ibadan North, Honourable Kamorudeen Mudashiru from Lagelu local government, Honourable Sherrif Adeojo from Ido local government and  Honourable Oyedokun Timothy from Ogbomoso South.
Honourable Olusola Adeleke also make the list  from Ibarapa Central while Honourable Wahab Waliu from Atiba local government and Honourable Temitope Glorious complete the list from Onaara local government.
Meanwhile, Head Coach of Fresh FM Nigeria, Kenny Ogunmiloro 'Radio Friend' has announced names of the players in the clash against ALGON. Radio Friend as fondly called named Samson Akindele as the captain of the side while Obadare Oladosu, Gbolahan Olalere, Kehinde Olaniyi, Yinka Heavens Olatoberu, Ayuba Dare Akinropo and Feranmi Adegboyega Samuel were part of the list.
According to the organisers, media partners for the eighth edition are Fresh FM Nigeria, Blast FM and Tiwan Tiwan Radio. Other partners are Akinleye local government under Honourable Wole Akinyele, Bibire Foods, Oke Ado Ibadan, Treasure Fashion Empire, Oluyole, Ibadan, Lola Infinity Outfits, Sweet Layer Bakery and Aviz Sports Limited.
Legendary gospel musician, Dr Yinka Olayinka Joel Ayefele MON and prominent Nigerian Fuji musician, actor, and businessman, King Dr Saheed Osupa are expected to grace the event after their endorsement alongside Otunba Seye Famojuro, the Bobajiro of Orile Igbon.

The Oluyole Warriors, after their qualification to round 32 early this morning without kicking the ball, following the refusal of Zamfara United FC to show up for the round of 64 fixture at the Area 3 field, Abuja have been expelled from the oldest football competition in Nigeria. In a letter signed by the director for competition, Ruth David, on behalf of the Nigeria Football Federation General Secretary. Five players who were not registered with the Nigeria Football Federation for this year edition were fielded in today's match against Zamfara United.
