Earlier today, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, hosted the Chairman of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami, for a high-level discussion focused on the future of the club and broader sports development in the state.
The meeting reflected Governor Makinde’s continued commitment to  professional football and his steadfast support for Shooting Stars as a symbol of pride for the people of Oyo State. The conversation centered around key strategic decisions aimed at enhancing team performance, strengthening the club’s structure, and ensuring sustainable growth for the iconic football institution.
Accompanying the Chairman was Mr. Idris Animasaun, the Creative Head of 3SC FansTV, whose presence highlights the importance of fan engagement and media visibility in modern sports management. The visit marks another positive step in aligning leadership, creativity, and passion to reposition Shooting Stars for greater success. The meeting also includes the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Sports Development, Engr. Akin Akinleye. 
This renewed synergy between government and club leadership sends a clear message: Oyo State remains committed to championing excellence in sports and investing in the youths who drive its future.

Ogunbote rejoined the Oluyole Warriors on August 22nd, 2022, for a third stint following the completion of his one-year contract with Remo Stars, the then league champions. His time with the club has now concluded after two years and eleven months. During his tenure, he led the team to several notable achievements, including winning the Doxy Nmobuosi Super Cup, the Oyo State Federation Cup, and the Seyi Makinde Football Volunteer Movement trophy. The Oluyole Warriors, after their qualification to round 32 early this morning without kicking the ball, following the refusal of Zamfara United FC to show up for the round of 64 fixture at the Area 3 field, Abuja have been expelled from the oldest football competition in Nigeria. In a letter signed by the director for competition, Ruth David, on behalf of the Nigeria Football Federation General Secretary. Five players who were not registered with the Nigeria Football Federation for this year edition were fielded in today's match against Zamfara United.
