Adura Olaleyin, the Nigerian boxing coach and board member representing President Kenneth Minimah at the ongoing National Sports Festival (NSF), expressed his gratitude to God for the successful conclusion of the boxing competition. He highlighted the significance of this event, noting that in the history of boxing, peaceful competitions have been rare. However, he praised the 22nd National Sports Festival, tagged the Gateway Games Ogun 2024, for its peaceful atmosphere. Olaleyin extended his commendations to the host governor, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, for facilitating such a harmonious and successful event.

He also commended the Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Mallam Shehu Dikko, and the Director General, Hon. Bukola Olopade, for their dedication and efforts in organizing the 22nd NSF, also known as the Gateway Games Ogun 2024.

Olaleyin highlighted the unity and collaboration among the boxing officials and participants, stating that their collective spirit and teamwork have contributed to the peaceful conduct of the boxing events. His remarks underscore the importance of cooperation in achieving success in sports and fostering a positive environment for athletes.

Coach Adura recently spoke about the promising raw talent they have discovered during the National Sports Festival (NSF) Gateways Games Ogun 2024. He emphasized the importance of identifying and nurturing these talents to ensure Nigeria's strong representation in international competitions.

Olaleyin also addressed the issue of unqualified boxers who were screened out of the competition, highlighting the need for rigorous standards to maintain the integrity of the sport. He stressed that this process is crucial for the development of boxing in Nigeria.

Looking ahead, he mentioned the upcoming World Boxing Championships scheduled to take place in Liverpool, England, from September 4 to 14, 2025, at the M&S Bank Arena.
