ALLEGED MATCH FIXING: OYO FA BEGINS INVESTIGATION, SUMMONS SHOLA AYEGBAJEJE, 3SC MANAGEMENT TO FACE DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE

The Oyo State Football Association under the leadership of Oba James Oluyemi Odeniran has ordered Ibadan based yoruba sports caster and Prince FM 88.7 staff, Shola Ayegbajeje popularly known as AyegbaSports and Shooting Stars management under the chairmanship of Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan David 'Akoro' to appear before it on Monday, May 5 this year to defend its action against Shooting Stars and other football stakeholders in the country.
Shooting Stars was alleged by Shola Ayegbajeje to have fixed Nigeria Professional Football League matches against Lobi Stars, Katsina United, Remo Stars, and also induced Nigeria Football [NPFL] referees to allow fair officiating in their home ground.
Shola Ayegbajeje, 56, on his live radio sports programme 'Ogba Sports' on Friday, 2nd of May 2025, indicted some NPFL clubs, unnamed referees, Shooting Stars club, and major stakeholders to have engaged in match fixing that resulted to Shooting Stars' dwindling position NPFL standings.
In view of Shola Ayegbajeje's outburst aired on national radio station, the two parties, [Shola Ayegbajeje and the management of 3SC] have been summoned to the OYSFA Disciplinary Committee hearing, scheduled for Monday 5th May, 2025 at OYSFA Office at Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan at 12noon.
