Former Nigerian boxer, Adura Olalehin has emerged as a significant source of motivation for athletes at the ongoing 22nd National Sports Festival, dubbed the Gateway Games Ogun 2024. As a former Commonwealth silver medalist, Olalehin has been actively inspiring and supporting boxers throughout the event.
In his role as the national boxing coach, Olalehin not only guided the boxers who participated in the recent Olympics but has also extended his support to officials and referees at the festival. His presence and encouragement have been invaluable to the athletes, fostering a positive and competitive atmosphere.
Additionally, the Ondo chairman of the Boxing Association has played a crucial role in the ongoing festival by standing firmly with the athletes, ensuring they receive the support they need to excel. Together, Olalehin and the local boxing leadership are making a significant impact on the development of boxing in Nigeria, motivating the next generation of boxers to strive for excellence.

AA AZTEC FOOTBALL ACADEMY STORMS PORTUGAL FOR A MONTH SCOUTING PROGRAMME

The delegation made up of 10 players and three officials left the shores of Nigeria via a flight from the international wing of the Muritala Mohammad Airport on Tuesday for Lisbon. Prince Ademola Olawepo Shennowo, President of the fast-growing football academy gave an insight into the programme details.  "The scouting program in Portugal is tagged Club Athlectico Trial and it will run for one month. "Our technical coaching staff have selected the best for the programme after the 10 talents had undergone intense training to develop their football skills and prepare them for the highest level in games and tournaments against other top football academies in and out of Ibadan." OyoSportsNews can exclusively confirmed that Iseyin United have forfeited thier victory over the Asabari Warriors for fielding ineligible player, resulting from passport photograph alteration. In its ruling on Saturday afternoon, after thorough investigation by the Disciplinary Committee of the 2024 Oyo State Jubril Dotun Sanusi Football League, set up by the Oyo State Football Association. The committee has awarded victory to Saki United FC. The Asabari Warriors will now face FC Young Stars International at the final while Iseyin United will face A.A Aztec for the third place match on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Akanran Ibadan.
