As part of the week-long funeral programme set to commence on Monday, August 4, 2025, two major sports competitions have been lined up. The Oba Olakulehin Table Tennis Tournament will begin with preliminary matches at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan. The tournament will culminate in the finals scheduled for Wednesday, August 6. Ogunbote rejoined the Oluyole Warriors on August 22nd, 2022, for a third stint following the completion of his one-year contract with Remo Stars, the then league champions. His time with the club has now concluded after two years and eleven months.
