ADURA OLALEHIN COMMISERATES WITH KANO STATE GOVT, BEREAVED FAMILIES

Adura Olalehin, a former Nigerian boxer and current boxing coach, recently paid a condolence visit to the Kano State Government following the tragic loss of 22 contingents from the state. 
The unfortunate incident occurred when the athletes were returning to Kano after participating in the 22nd National Sports Festival held in Ogun State.
The road accident, which took place on Saturday, the 30th of May, 2025 resulted in the loss of 22 lives, with several others sustaining injuries.
During his visit, he met with the Deputy Governor of Kano State, His Excellency Comrade Aminu AbdusSalam Gwarzo to express his sympathies and offer support during this difficult time.  
Olalehin commiserated with the Kano State Government and the families affected by this devastating event, emphasizing the profound impact of the tragedy on the local sports community and the state as a whole. 
His heartfelt condolences reflect the solidarity and support of the sports fraternity during this difficult time.
In addition to his meeting with the government officials, Olalehin took the time to visit the families of the deceased and injured contingents. He provided each family with a cash support of ₦200,000, aiming to alleviate some of their burdens in the wake of this tragedy. During these visits, he encouraged the families to stay strong and shared his thoughts on the broader implications of the loss for Nigerian sports.
Olalehin emphasized the need for continued support for Nigerian sports and youth, pledging his commitment to fostering talent and ensuring that such tragedies do not overshadow the potential of the nation’s athletes. His actions reflect a deep sense of responsibility and compassion, highlighting the importance of community and support in times of grief.
