NNL25: RUTHLESS CROWN FC SECURE PLAY-OFF SPOT

Crown FC secured their place in this season's Nigeria National League play-offs as a second-half double from Jonathan Okechukwu and Adekunle Mojeed gave them a 2-1 victory over IjeleFC of Enugu.
The Ajilete Warriors started well in the opening 30 minutes and were unlucky not to go ahead in the first half as Ayodeji Ayeni's boys settled for a goalles halftime scoreline.
Four minutes into the second half, Jonathan Okechukwu gave the visitors the lead through a header from Adekunle Mojeed's corner kick.
The homers restored parity at the 57th minute after a defensive mix-up in the box which saw Joshua Oladeji helpless between the sticks.
At the 71st minute, Adekunle Mojeed’s direct free-kick from the edge of the box gave Crown FC the lead and winner to cement promotion play-offs for the Nigeria National League.
The Ajilete Warriors, having grabbed the promotion play-off spot of the Nigeria National League with the away win, will now host Warri Wolves next weekend at the Soun stadium in the last fixture of the season.

AA AZTEC FOOTBALL ACADEMY STORMS PORTUGAL FOR A MONTH SCOUTING PROGRAMME

The delegation made up of 10 players and three officials left the shores of Nigeria via a flight from the international wing of the Muritala Mohammad Airport on Tuesday for Lisbon. Prince Ademola Olawepo Shennowo, President of the fast-growing football academy gave an insight into the programme details.  "The scouting program in Portugal is tagged Club Athlectico Trial and it will run for one month. OyoSportsNews can exclusively confirmed that Iseyin United have forfeited thier victory over the Asabari Warriors for fielding ineligible player, resulting from passport photograph alteration. In its ruling on Saturday afternoon, after thorough investigation by the Disciplinary Committee of the 2024 Oyo State Jubril Dotun Sanusi Football League, set up by the Oyo State Football Association. The committee has awarded victory to Saki United FC.
