TOE FA TRIO INSPIRES PROGRESS FC TO FIRST EVER UNICEF CUP WIN

Progress Football Club from Ogbomoso have been crowned the Champions of the maiden edition of "Kick to Keep Polio at Zero", initiated by the Oyo State Primary Health Care Board and sponsored by United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund [UNICEF].
Progress FC won the cup coming out on top 5-4 on penalties after a 0-0 draw with New Starlets FC, Ibadan in regulation time.
The inaugural football tournament organised by the Oyo State Football Association under His Royal Majesty, Oba James Odeniran had 24 football teams across the six zones in Oyo state, four each zone were held in across stadia in Oyo state.
Progress Football Club under soccer tactican, Coach Yekeen Jimoh cruised to the final after a 2-0 win over Unity FC, 2-1 win over Charity FC and 2-2 [Penalty win] over Oyo at the preliminary, zonal and quarter stages respectively.
Amongst the players that achieved the new feat with Progress FC were TOE Football Academy player, Ismaeel Abdussomad Adetayo who was voted as best goalkeeper of the tournament by the organisers of the tournament.
TOE football academy ambassadors who also featured for Progress FC at the final stage are Olokobi Umar and Oladeji Olaleye.
Meanwhile, Chairman TOE Football Academy, Mr Taiwo Oluwafemi Eric has commended his players' fighting spirit, determination and contributions to the success at the final stage. He believed thier representation were no fluke and will spur their mates to put in thier best in future competitions.
