TOE FA CHAIRMAN COMMENDS ORGANIZERS OF ORUMOGEGE FOOTBALL COMPETITION

The Chairman, TOE Football Academy, Mr Taiwo Oluwafemi Eric has saluted the efforts of the Orumogege Football Competition organizers, for putting up a brilliant, well arranged and colourful opening match of the maiden edition of the 2024 Orumogege Football Competition in Ogbomoso.
The competition, organized by Ogbomoso Community Youth Forum and supported by the Oyo state ministry of youth and sports, had 32 football teams being paired on a knock-out basis.
Eric, who was a guest at the opening match held at the Soun stadium, Ogbomoso on Sunday between Awoye United and Ire Apa FC said the competition is definitely going to live up to its expectations, while commending the large turnout by football lovers and stakeholders that witnessed that opening event.
Eric told OyoSportsNews that he's overwhelmed to see His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, Orumogege III, Soun of Ogbomosoland alongside other notable traditional rulers, and clerics at the colourful event.

He commeded the organisers for bring up ideas to stage the competition of its importance to youth development in Ogbomosoland. He also described the competition as one of highly competitive football showpiece in the South-West, owing to the fact that, clubs in Nigeria National League (NNL), within the circuit of this geopolitical zone, will make it a scouting opportunity, to select and sign players ahead of the new season.
