EXCITEMENT AS OYO FA ROLLS OUT PLANS FOR ENGR DOTUN SANUSI FOOTBALL LEAGUE

The Oyo State Football Association under the chairmanship of Oba James Odeniran, the Alakinyele of Akinyele has announced plans to organise the first edition of 2024 Oyo State JDS Football League, sponsored by the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort, Chief Engineer Dotun Jubril Sanusi.
In a blueprint message made available to OyoSportsNews by the association secretary, Mr Kehinde Adebayo Ojelowo. The league is strictly open to Nigeria Nation-wide League One and non-league players in Oyo state, while registration fees and tickets shall be free at the play-off stage.
The statement explained further that matches at the playoff stage will hold across zones in Oyo state in an abridged format with ten clubs each in a group.
In addition, the 7th of October, 2024, has been announced for the press conference and unveiling of the league at the Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort mini conference hall while draws will hold on Tuesday, 8th of October, 2024.
According to the state football governing body registration for the playoff has commenced and will end on 5th of October, 2024 while playoff matches begin from October 9th to 13th, 2024.
Other modalities put in place immediately after that playoff stage is the registration and club licensing for the league which will start on the 13th to 15th with the league opened to kick-off on 17th at Ilaji football pitch.
The league is expexted to run from October 17th to November 30th while the Super 6 will kick-off from 4th to 15th, December.
The Chairman of Oyo State FA, Oba James Odeniran revealed plans for the league and assured that the 2024 OYSJDSFL will be the best in history. He appreciated Chief Engineer Dotun Jubril Sanusi for once again picking up the bills for football activities.
