OYO/NLO PLAY-OFF: OYO FA CHAIRMAN CONGRATULATES IWALEWA FA, COMMENDS SAKI FANS

The Chairman, Oyo State Football Association, Oba James Odeniran [Alakinyele of Akinyele] has congratulated Iwalewa Football Academy for winning the Oyo State Play-Off to Nationwide Division Two qualifiers against Sult De King FC.
Iwalewa FA beat SDK FC 3-2 on aggregate after two-legged matches. The Saki based side pipped SDK FC 1-0 in Ibadan in the first leg and were forced to two-all draw [2-2] at the Saki stadium, Irewole at the reversed fixture.
Ajibowo Mutiu and Towobola Afeez were on the scoresheet for the Iwalewa boys while Ayo Giwa grabbed a brace for the Ojasowo side.
Oba James Odeniran in an interview with OyoSportsNews on Monday shortly after the match commended both teams for superlative displays on the field of play. Oba Odeniran said thier diaplays on thier pitch were top-notch and professional. He congratulated Iwalewa FA for winning the play-offs after two fixtures in Ibadan and Saki.
"I want to congratulate Iwalewa FA for winning the play-off qualifiers to Nationwide Division Two. The two teams will represent Oyo state in another inter state playoff and these fixtures is to know the first and second in Oyo state. Both teams played good football and delightful to watch.
"I have no worries in thier inter state playoff because they've got good and balanced team with tactically discipline players".
The retired FIFA Referee also expressed gratitude to the football lovers in Saki following the massive turnout for the second leg fixture. Oba Odeniran said the crowd at the stadium was a reminder of the golden days of the Nigeria football league. He added that the turn-out is an eye opener for the state association to focus more on football development outside the capital of Oyo state.
Earlier before the match, a curtain-raiser match tagged Mathematical  Rotational Soccer Entertainment [MAROSE] Eleven-Eleven were organised where Okere FC, Irewole FC, Isale Efii Utd and Intelligent FC participated. After three matches, Isale Efii Utd won the new football format 10-9 on penalties over Okere FC
