BASKETBALL: 'JUST HELP AFRICA' ANNUAL DREAMS TOURNAMENT HOLDS NEXT WEEK

The second edition of the Dreams Basketball Tournament for the male and female categories organised by the 'Just Help Africa' in collaboration with the Oyo State Sports Council will hold on Thursday (26th) and Friday (27th), 2023 at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan.
The convener of the tournament, Mr Tunji Soroye explained the rationale behind the annual tournament which began in year 2021. Soroye explained that the motive behind the tournament is to nurture talents and develop their skills with a view to prepare them for national and international competitions.
He explained further that six male teams and two female teams will participate in the two days competition.
The Chief Executive Officer of Just Help Africa stated further that cash rewards of N350,000 and a gaint trophy (Three hundred and fifty thousand naira) and N150,000 (One hundred and fifty thousand naira) will given to first and second position respectively in the male category while the winner of the female category will receive N200,000 (Two hundred thousand naira).
Mr Tunji Soroye also assured that the tournament will be extended to basketball teams a d players outside Oyo state, particularly South-West, Nigeria.
