LIGHT OF FAITH ISLAMIC SCHOOLS TOPPLES OTHER SCHOOLS AT 3RD IMOLESPORTS QUIZ COMPETITION

It was yet another mouthwatering and scintillating event as one of the popular Sports OAPs in Ibadan - Ibraheem Akolade Oladimeji (Imolesports) organised Sports Quiz Competition for both public and private secondary schools across the State today Thursday 15th June, 2023.
The programme which was the third edition was held at Dapo Aderogba Hall, NUJ Press Centre, Iyaganku, Ibadan. This year's edition consolidated two previous editions and shows how sports is being embraced by the students in the state.
Amidst sports quiz segment for participating schools, awards of excellence and recognition were ditched out for important personalities for their contributions in the World of Sports. Several music artistes and fast-rising sports OAPs and the ever energetic dance-group - Da Crystal Dance Group all the way from Lagos, light-up the event with their best and unbelievable performances. It was all bliss!
Twelve schools: Adelagun Memorial Grammar School, Broadminds Model College, PeaceLand International Schools, Methodist Grammar School, His Royal Diadem College, Unique Legacy College, Light of Faith Islamic Schools, Lydmar Royal Academy, TMM Group of Schools, Glorious College, Oke Badan High School, and King Jozzy Private Schools all participated in the Sports Quiz Competition.
The quiz kick-started with sports puzzle game where schools were allowed to test their abilities when it comes to various Olympics Sports. This was followed by the first round of the quiz, where six schools were eliminated. The remaining six schools were taken through the last round. After a fierce and befitting contest, TMM Group of Schools came out 2nd Runner-up, leaving Unique Legacy College as 1st Runner-up while Light of Faith Islamic Schools came out Champion in this edition of the Imole Sports Entertainment Sports Quiz Competition for the year 2023.
In his speech, the organiser - Ibraheem Akolade Oladimeji (Imolesport) - appreciated all the participating schools, the organising committee, the sponsors (both home and abroad), the awardees, the invited guests, his bosses at the NUJ and all other Media houses, well-wishers, and everyone who had contributed financially, morally and spiritually in the success of the programme. He promised to surge ahead and make the next year's edition better while complimenting his speech with prayers for all and sundry.
Furthermore, one of the awardees cum recently sworn-in Member Oyo State House of Assembly - in the person of RT. Honourable AbdulWaheed Akintayo Ilumoka Presenter was excited while giving his speech. He urged sports-lovers, stakeholders in sports and every Nigerian to invest more in Sports stating its importance as a tool to kill boredom and negativity in our society. He was later presented his award by ever energetic and vibrant Oyetayo Oladimeji MC Handsome.
The events witnessed many Radio and Television gurus. The General Manager of Pensioners Fm 106.7, Dr. Babatunde Tiamiyu, Lori Papa Crooner and the Ibadan Number one Yoruba Sports presenter, Alhaji Babatunde Saheed (Mr Sports), Oyetayo Oladimeji (MC Handsome), Coach Wasiu Asanke, Coach Akeem (Coach Udi), Alhaja Muinat Babatunde Saheed, the C.E.O of Mojoyinola Bread, Johnson Alagbe.
Finally, the certificate of participation were given to all the participating schools alongside various consolation prizes. The winner, the 1st Runner-up and the 2nd Runner-up were also given special prizes for their performances. More so, special gifts was given to PeaceLand International Schools for being the winner in Puzzle game. Presentations of the awards were followed by the suspension prayer till the next edition coming next year.
Everyone was in awe for the doggedness of the organiser plus the itch free programme and really hope the event did not come to an end. Having next year at the back of their minds, everyone dispersed with radiant faces and great sportsmanship.
