ILAJI/SWIEQI UTD TO CONDUCT SCOUTING AND COACHING EDUCATION FOR FOOTBALL COACHES

Ilaji Football Club in conjunction with Swieqi United Football Club from Malta [Southern Europe] have concluded plans to conduct second edition of Scouting and Coaching Education program for coaches in Nigeria, the 3-day anual program is billed to take place at Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resorts, Akanran, Ibadan from July 11 [Tuesday] to 16 [Sunday], 2023.
According to Ilaji FC manager, Coach Babatunde Odubola fondly called 'Ziko', the target of the organisers is to have in attendance a maximum of 70 football coaches within and outside Oyo state for the coaching education while about 144 players from different teams are also expected at the Scouting session.
The former Shooting Stars Coach and Team B Head Coach told OyoSportsNews that resource personnels from Swieqi United Football Club in Malta will be in Nigeria to impact football coaching knowledge to participants. He added that Billy Mock, a UEFA A Coach who currently serve as Swieqi United FC Technical Director and former Maltese U-19 National Team Coach, with over 20 years coaching experience will be Nigeria alongside Pablo Boffo, who is currently the Head Coach for Swieqi United Senior Men Team and UEFA A licence Coach while football legend Claude Mattocks - who had won two league title with over 200 appearances in the Maltese Premier League is also part of the delegation from Malta.
The first editon held on April 17th to 20th 2022 had in attendance Chairman, Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resorts, Engr. Dotun Sanusi, Ilaji Chief Operating Officer Mr Adesina Araoye, Swieqi United FC Club President, Justin Fenech and the Club Executive member, Timothy Gingell, William Billy, Marco Glumac, ex-international Mutiu Adepoju, members of Oyo State Football Coaches Association and coaches outside Oyo state.
Odubola also affirmed that the second edition would help the coaches to know more about new development in the coaching and football management as well as administration.

Okikiola helped his side clinch her first ever federation cup title, scoring three goals in the three all draw, Ilaji FC emegerd champions 5-4 on penalties and will represent Oyo state at the National Federation Cup.
