OYO SPORTS COUNCIL CELEBRATES OYO COMMONWEALTH MEDALISTS

The trio of Oyo state athletes and weightlifting Champions Folasade Rafiat Lawal, Taiwo Liadi and Osijo Taiwo that won Gold, Silver and Bronze respectively during the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham have returned safely to Nigeria.
In recognition of their feats, the General Manager of the Oyo State Sports Council, Mr Gboyega Makinde formally presented them to the elated Chairman of the Council, Honourable Gbenga Adewusi "Arole" who welcomed them back to the Oyo State Sports Council stressing that these prodigies have performed excellently well and their unique and unrivaled achievements are worthy of emulation and celebration.
The enthusiastic members of staff trooped out to extend their congratulatory messages to these three Champions with warmest handshakes.
The Chairman charged them not to relent in their efforts to achieve greater heights emphasizing that the state is looking forward for their participation in the forthcoming Olympic games.

Okikiola helped his side clinch her first ever federation cup title, scoring three goals in the three all draw, Ilaji FC emegerd champions 5-4 on penalties and will represent Oyo state at the National Federation Cup.
