EDITH AGOYE: I DID NOT LEAVE SHOOTING STARS WITH NEGATIVE FEELINGS

Edith Olumide Agoye holds no grudges against his former club Shooting Stars after tendering his resignation letter as the club head coach.
Agoye guided Shooting Stars back to the Nigeria Professional Football League in September 2021 after four years at the lower division, Nigeria National League [NNL].
Recall that after 20 matches at the 2020/21 NNL season, 3SC under Edith Agoye recoded 12 wins, three away draws and five losses to top the group B2 with 29points. The Oluyole Warriors earned thier promotion ticket at NNL Super 8 at Enugu with a decent results.
In November 2020, Agoye won Dapo Abiodun Pre-season Tournament back to back and Governor Seyi Makinde Pre-season Tournament in year 2021. He was at the final stage of the third edition of Dapo Abiodun Pre-season Tournament and runner's up of Gold Cup Pre-season Tournament, both in year 2021.
During his time at the Oluyole Warriors, Agoye won the state Federation Cup and led his team to a 4-0 win over a Slovenia first division side, NK Tabor SeΕΎana, a match organized by the Oyo state government as part of festivities marking the reopening of Lekan Salami stadium on September 1st, 2021.
Speaking to OyoSportsNews on Tuesday morning, Agoye said;
"When you leave a club, what keeps that extra feeling is when you leave with a negative feeling or have stones in your shoes, or grudges with the club management." Agoye told OyoSportsNews.
"I didn't leave with negative feelings. As a professional, I wasn't frustrated out or under pressure. I gave everything I could to the club - so no negative feelings. It's just a professional decision and I think I've taken the right and best step."
Edith Agoye, who is expected to go for a refresher coaching course in the United Kingdom also thanked the entire club management led by Hon Babatunde Olaniyan for his support and cooperation during his time with Shooting Stars. Agoye described the club chairman as father who directs the affairs of the club professionally.
Asked what is the next step after Shooting Stars, Agoye replied OyoSportsNews.
"I will be off for now to rest and be with my family and if any job comes, I will surely look into it from professional angles."
Meanwhile, Shooting Stars management has officially confirmed the acknowledgement and acceptance of Edith Olumide Agoye's resignation letter.
In a letter made available to OyoSportsNews, the state government under Engr Seyi Makinde has approved to send the soccer tactician to the United Kingdom for higher coaching course.
