“We put in a great performance during league season, and I must commend the players, coaching crew, and our loving supporters for the hard work and determination right from our first league match against Marvellous FC. We had some other engagement like scouting programmes, which hindered us from attending some matches, but I could say we had a good season and also commended the organisers of the league."
"There are some league matches we could have won conveniently despite we showed the desire and commitment, but football is what it is. As a team, we've learnt some lessons and we have advantages ahead next season and other competitions."
Meanwhile, as the defending champions of the 2024 pre-season tournament organised by the Oyo State Football Association for Nationwide league clubs and non-league set to face Iwalewa Football Club at the Oyo State Play-Off to Nationwide Division Two qualifiers in a two legged match. 'Ojasowo' told OyoSportsNews that his team is ready to challenge the Saki based outfit on Wednesday, 28th of August, at the Olubadan stadium.
"We had a meeting yesterday to review our league activities and plans ahead of the playoffs. We resumed last week after the IFC league to start preparations for the two legs. The players are ready as usual, we are more focused on what we're doing, and we believe after this match, the team will promote to Division One."
"We are familiar with Olubadan stadium very well, it is more like a home for us, though the coach of Iwalewa FC is no new to the stadium. I believe the players will make use of the stadium before the return leg in Saki. We are not worried about travelling to Saki because our players as used to playing outside Ibadan for different competitions. We are not scared of the home fans in Saki, we had an experience in Iseyin when we played at the Oyo State Federation Cup against Saki United. Even the Iseyin fans supported us because we played good football.
