Crown Football Club of Ogbomoso General Manager Mr Olamide Ilupeju has expressed his felicitation with Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Honourable Wasilat Adegoke as she marks her birthday anniversary.
In a goodwill message signed and made available to OyoSportsNews, Mr Olamide Ilupeju fondly called 'Ortega' described Hon Wasilat Adegoke as a sports loving leader who has recorded tremendous achievements within her first year in office.
Orgetga further described Hon Wasilat as a sports leader of “unparalleled integrity”, who has an "uncanny dedication" to sports development in the Oyo state. He highlighted the performance of Shooting Stars at just concluded Nigeria Premier Football League season, Team Oyo podium finish at the last national sports festival and para games, youth empowerment program across zones in the state, and Crown FC improved welfare package.
Olamide Ilupeju noted that Oyo state through the efforts of Governor Seyi Makinde and Hon Wasilat Adegoke has successfully hosted national competitions such as Police Games and National Hockey Championship. He also commended effort made by the youngest female commissioner in Nigeria through the inauguration of Oyo State Female Football Team and Youth Strategic Committee.
On behalf of Crown Football Club, Ogbomoso, and good people of Ogbomoso, I wish to offer our congratulations to you on this auspicious day of birthday anniversary.

ANTHONY ENCHO RESIGNS AS IJEBU UNITED HEAD COACH

Echo's era officially ended Tuesday, only five months after he joined the club on August  8, 2023. Anthony Encho, who left Crown FC of Ogbomoso last year for Ijebu United told OyoSportsNews that his decision is 'personal and professional'. During his short time with Ijebu United, Encho lost 1-0 to Beyond Limits at the final of the 2023 Optima Gold Cup Pre-season tournament. The 48-year-old's final league match at the ongoing Nigeria National League 2023/2024 campaign ended 1-0 loss to Osun United at Osogbo. Ijebu United currently occupied 5th position on the group B2 standings with two wins and a draw. Echo, UEFA B licence and graduate of Advance Diploma at the National Institute for Sports, Lagos.
