FED CUP 2024: OYO FA ANNOUNCES DATE FOR DRAWS

Oyo state soccer governing body under the chairmanship of Oba James Odeniran, the Alakinyele of Akinyele has confirmed the draw date for the 2024 Oyo State Federation Cup, OyoSportsNews reports.

The draw marks the beginning of this year edition of Federation Cup, which had Shooting Stars as the defending champions.
The association through its secretary, Mr Kehinde Adebayo Ojelowo, on Tuesday afternoon told OyoSportsNews that Thursday, 29th of February, as the draw date for this year edition.
The draw is scheduled to be conducted from 12 noon at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan.
Ojelowo said: "In view of the ongoing protest by the Nigeria Labour Congress scheduled between 27th and 28th February, 2024. The scheduled Oyo State Federation Cup draws have been rescheduled for Thursday 29th February, 2024, in Lekan Salami Sports Compkex, Adamasingba, Ibadan at 12noon."
OyoSportsNews reliably gathered that matches will be played on neutral grounds while Semi-Finals and Final will be played at Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan. Also, teams will be drawn to face each other on a knockout basis.
Ojelowo stated further that representatives from teams that had made payments for the registration form, football stakeholders, zonal council delegates, member of the football referees council, and the media are expected to attend draws event.

OyoSportsNews can exclusively confirmed that Iseyin United have forfeited thier victory over the Asabari Warriors for fielding ineligible player, resulting from passport photograph alteration. In its ruling on Saturday afternoon, after thorough investigation by the Disciplinary Committee of the 2024 Oyo State Jubril Dotun Sanusi Football League, set up by the Oyo State Football Association. The committee has awarded victory to Saki United FC.
