IFC CONDOLES WITH NRA OVER REFEREES' DEATH, TWO OTHERS DISCHARGED FROM HOSPITAL

The Ibadan Football Council (IFC) has condoled with Nigeria Referees Association (NRA) Oyo State chapter over the death of two members of the Association.
Names of the deceased are Referees Ibikunle Abiodun and Rafiu Kazeem Opeyemi of Akinyele and Ona-Ara Referees Societies respectively. Both Referees died within 24 hours from each other.
While late Abiodun gave up the ghost on Friday after a brief illness, Kazeem Opeyemi lost his life on Saturday in a fatal motor accident at Osu, Osun State while returning from the National Fitness Test in Abuja.
Two other members of the chapter Segun Oni and Ajadi Odunayo who sustained injuries in the ill-fated trip have been discharged from the hospital and are recuperating at home.
A condolence and get-well message signed by the Chairman of Ibadan Football Council (IFC) Mogaji Rotimi Alli expressed the Council's grief over the irreparable losses to the Referees body.
He prayed God to put a stop to such grievous occurence in the Association and the entire Nigeria Football family.
Alli, who prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed also prayed God to grant the families the.fortitude to bear the loss.
The IFC boss also thanked God for sparing the lives of Referees Segun Oni and Ajadi Odunayo who sustained injuries in the motor crash but have been discharged from the hospital.
