The embattled Shooting Stars Camp Commandant, Awwal Mohammed was said to have had a face off with Akwa United Coach, Ayodeji Ayeni few hours before the week nine encounter at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.Emerging fresh facts in the club indicate that the trending 'urinating picture' was a climax of what had earlier happened between the officials of the two teams.
Top reliable source reveals that Awwal Mohammed had accosted Akwa Coach and players on their way to the main pitch 'saying they would not be allowed to plant any voodoo on it'. But instead, Coach Ayeni invited him to join their prayer circle on the center of the pitch.
Eventually, Akwa team had their prayer and subsequently sprayed the pitch with 'holy water'. But, in an apparent anger, Awwaul raced forward to confront Coach Ayeni for his affront at pouring 'juju water' on the pitch, and threatened to neutralize it with his urine.
In his reaction, Ayeni insisted that it was just a bottle of 'holy water' "to seal their point of prayer at picking a positive result in Ibadan. He added that God has shown him that Akwa Utd would leave Ibadan with a favorable result and whoever stand in the way of the Lord shall be put to shame"!
'Awwal urinated on the pitch and the result was not favourable for him. Or has he not been put to shame as declared by coach Ayeni?, the source queried.
It would be recalled the said match ended in a 2-2 all draw after which emerged the 'gory picture' showing the camp commandant urinating on the pitch and this earned him a year suspension from all football activities in Nigeria and a fine of #500,000 for Shooting Stars for failure to restrain its official from putting the game to disrepute, according yo the rule books of the league Interim Management Committee, (IMC).
