CYCLING: VICTORIA LAWAL, PEACE OLAWALE WIN GOLD FOR NIGERIA IN GHANA

Nigeria cyclists, Victoria Lawal, Peace Olawale, and Eze Ukpeseraye have won gold medals for Nigeria at the ongoing I9th CAC African Road and Paracycling Championship holding at Olebu, Ablekuma, Pokuase Route, Accra in Ghana.
Victoria Lawal and Peace Olawale from Oyo state emerged as champions in the Female Youth Category while Eze Ukpeseraye from Delta State also clinched Gold in the road race.
The maiden edition of the tournament which commenced on February 8, 2023, is expected to end on 17th February 2023.
Cyclists from 19 African Countries under the umbrella of Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), The Ministry of Youth and Sports, The Ghana Cycling Federation (GCF), National Sports Authority (NSA) as well as Ghana Olympics Committee were actively involved.

Okikiola helped his side clinch her first ever federation cup title, scoring three goals in the three all draw, Ilaji FC emegerd champions 5-4 on penalties and will represent Oyo state at the National Federation Cup.
