3SC LEGENDS, OYO STATE PILLAR OF SPORTS THROW WEIGHT BEHIND LEKAN-SALAMI, BACK TEAM FOR NPFL TITLE CHARGE

Shooting Stars legends who proudly wore the colours of the Oluyole Warriors during the 1970s, 1980s and early 1990s have declared their solidarity with the club’s present administration, led by Executive Chairman Honourable Taiwo Lekan-Salami.
The former stars, many of whom represented the club and the Nigeria Green Eagles during their playing careers, alongside the Oyo State Pillar of Sports Youth Development Foundation, Mr Temitope Ademola Obideyi have rallied behind the current Shooting Stars squad and technical team as the Oluyole Warriors continue their campaign in the 2026/27 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
Among the respected former players associated with the solidarity initiative are Nigeria football icons Segun Odegbami MON, Felix Owolabi MON, Zion Ogunfeyimi and Idowu Otubusin, alongside other distinguished members of the Shooting Stars family.
Despite the continental setback, the former players have urged the team to remain focused on the domestic campaign, expressing their backing for the club's pursuit of a strong league finish and a return to continental football.
The solidarity was further demonstrated through a banner carrying the message:
“ONE CLUB. ONE FAMILY. ONE SHOOTING STARS. WE ARE BEHIND YOU - 3SC LEGENDS.”
The initiative represents a collaboration between the Shooting Stars legends and the Pillar of Sports Youth Development Foundation, led by Mr. Temitope Ademola Obideyi, aimed at rallying collective support for the Oluyole Warriors.
Beyond the current season and the present administration, the gesture reflects the legends' enduring connection with a club that played a significant role in their careers and with which they achieved notable honours during their playing days.
Their message is therefore one of continuity, loyalty and collective responsibility: the legends who helped build Shooting Stars' rich history remain connected to the club and are prepared to stand behind the present generation as it seeks to write another successful chapter.
