CROWN FC WELFARE DIRECTOR VISITS TOE FA, CHARGES MANAGEMENT

Crown FC Welfare Director, Oyebowale Adetayo made this known when he visited the head office of TOE Football Academy, situated at Shop 10A, Alhaji Tiamiyu complex, Oke Ado Akintola Street, beside high court area, Ogbomoso. 'Rahah' as fondly called insists discipline must be the watch word of all players both on and off the field of play. SOUTHWEST ZONAL ELIMINATION FOR BALL GAMES COMMENCES TOMORROW IN OSUN STATE

As part of the preparation for the forthcoming 8th edition of the National Youth Games, the Federal Ministry of Sports Development has scheduled the Southwest Zonal Elimination Games for Thursday 29th to Friday 30th August, 2024 at Osogbo in Osun State. The Oyo State Commissioner for Youth & Sports, Honourable Miss Wasilat Adegoke dropped this hint today at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan. The Commissioner disclosed further that over Two Hundred Athletes from Oyo State will participate in the Competition adding other states that will participate include, Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti. The team games that are open for competitions are Volleyball, Basketball, Handball, Football, Beach Volleyball, Hockey, Cricket and Rugby.  The Commissioner stated further that young Nigerians aged 15 and below are eligible to participate in the National Youth Games adding that the goal is to engage our growing Youth population meaningfully, providing a pathway for their care

TOE FOOTBALL ACADEMY OPEN TRIALS END TOMORROW

By Oluseyi Adedire Twitter/Instagram: @oyosportsnews FB: Oyo Sports Update The first phase of TOE Football Academy Open Trials has been scheduled to end tomorrow [Sunday], 18th August, 2024. In a statement signed by the Academy General Manager, Mr Yekeen Rasheed Aserere Jr., the three-day trials that began on Friday will come to an end on Sunday at the Soun stadium, Ogbomoso at 11am. Selected players from U13, U15 and U17 have been told to report to the venue an hour before the commencement of the Day III exercise while unregistered players have been warned to stay from the field to avoid distractions. Meanwhile, twenty selected players will know their fate tomorrow at the U13 category while twenty-five [25] and twenty-seven [27] players from U15 and U17 will prove their worth respectively.

FIRST AJIBIOYE BASKETBALL CLINIC SET TO DUNK OFF TOMORROW

Four teams will be participating at the maiden edition, packaged and sponsored by Ayomide Ajiboye and Olamide Ajiboye. According to the organisers, University of Ibadan Basketball Team, Liberty Spears, The Polytechnic Ibadan Basketball Team and Egbeda Basketball Team will be participating in the two-day event with the presentation of awards, medals and trophies at the grand finale on Sunday. Exceptional players will also be rewarded for the Most Valuable Players while prizes will also be given to selected players in the competition  The competition will start at 9:00am and 12noon on Saturday and Sunday respectively. 

TOE FOOTBALL ACADEMY HOLDS OPEN TRIALS FOR U13, U15 & U17 PLAYERS

The general manager of the academy, Mr Yekeen Rasheed Aserere Jr told newsmen that U13, U15 and U17 players who wish to participate for a chance to become a player of TOE Football Academy can do so by participating at the three-day trials. Aserere Jr told OyoSportsNews that top professional coaches are looking to identify promising young footballers from across the country who have the potential to represent the academy and Nigeria at the international level. Aserere Jr explained further that selected players will undergo rigorous training sessions and matches to assess their skills and abilities. SAKI GRASSROOT COMPETITION: OYO FA HAMMER FALLS ON SANNGO UTD, BANS PLAYER FOR ONE YEAR, FINES CLUB

The Disciplinary Committee of the Oyo State Football Association has taken strong action against Sanngo United FC after the chaotic incident that was also aided by their unruly fans. The semi-final match, which couldn't continue after Sanngo United FC player, Wahab Marouf Adio, punched Referee Olayinka Tobi after he was red carded in the second half. The incident worsened thereafter with the Sanngo United fans and supporters invading the pitch, which resulted to game abandonment.
