OYO REFEREES' COUNCIL HOLDS INVESTITURE, MAKES JUSTICE AKINYEMI AS MEMBER

The Nigeria (Football) Referees' Association, Oyo State Chapter under the Chairman of Professor Oladele Oladipo has made Justice Mashud Akinfemi Akintunde as an honorary member of the Nigeria (Football) Referees' Association through the state council.
The Investiture ceremony, held yesterday; Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at the Olubadan stadium, Iyaganku Ibadan, with a lecture titled, “The Need for Fitness as Judges”.
Professor Oladele Oladipo, a CAF/FIFA Physical Fitness Instructor in his speech emphasised benefits of physical activity. He posited that regular exercising routine is one of the surest paths to a longer and healthier life. He recommended that adults should get at least 150 minutes of exercise every week.
The honouree, Justice Mashud Akinfemi Akintunde who also double as the President of Oyo State Customary Court of Appeal retired from the active service on Thursday, 6th April, 2023.
Professor Oladele believed that the Oyo State (Football) Referees' Council will in no doubt benefit from Justice Mashud's legal experience. He thereafter presented the Certificate of Honorary Membership along with the Souvenir of the Oyo State (Football) Referees' Council to the honouree.
Meanwhile, the South-West zonal coordinator of the Nigeria (Football) Referees' Association who also doubles as the Chairman, Oyo State Football Association (OYSFA) HRM Oba Odeniran James Oluyemi, the Alakinyele of Akinyele also presented the Plaque of Honour to retired Hon. Justice Mashud A.A Abass.
Members of the Working Committee led by the 1st Vice Chairman of the Council, Alhaji Wahab Sulaimon Bolarinwa, Mr. Adebiyi M.K, Dr. Odukoya Sesan, Mrs Bello-Jibrin Mojisola Juliet, Supt. Apst. K.S Akinwale and other football stakeholders were in attendance to grace the occasion.
